Messages from the Animal Kingdom
By Ann Bolinger-McQuade, Cloud Speak - Personal Oracle Guru

Decoding the personal oracles that are all around us…

“Animal encounters – whether in dreams, waking life or meditation – stimulate a primordial part of us. Instinctively, we know that these encounters have meaning…"
From Ted Andrews Animal Speak Pocket Guide.

Fourteen year old Felix and Fanny were well-seasoned cats. They’d always wandered around the pinion forest outside their home in the mountains of New Mexico, and lived to tell the tale. Sally shares a close call they all had the day they were all out walking together. They were outward bound when one of a pair of resident ravens landed in a tree in front of them and spoke in a loud voice, “Caw, Caw, Caw.”  Sally was thrilled so she talked back and kept walking. A hundred yards further on the second raven appeared and spoke to them, “Caw, Caw, Caw.” Felix, being more fluent in ravenese than Sally turned tail for home. After a second’s hesitation, Fanny did also. Sally followed them home to let them in the house and went back to resume her walk. The ravens were gone but in a minute or two a woman came walking down the road with four large rambunctious unleashed dogs.

Does it make you wonder, like I do, if this was the first time this pair of well-seasoned cats were protected by their winged friends?

Just for fun, I decided to check out ravens again in Ted Andrews expanded book 'ANIMAL SPEAK The Spiritual & Magical Powers of Creatures Great & Small' and was reminded that raven has long been thought of as a messenger of the great spiritual realm. Remember the Norse god Oden and the pair of ravens, Hugin and Munin who were his messengers? What I read next made me think of those four large rambunctious unleashed dogs! “During the middle ages the croak of the raven was believed to foretell a death or the outcome of a battle.”

According to Ted Andrews the only really significant difference between crows and ravens is the size. So when you encounter a crow or a raven, pay attention. It may be delivering a message for you!

It’s important to note here that personal oracles are not limited to messages from the animal kingdom; they resonate through absolutely every form imaginable.
